We are looking for an experienced Technical Accounting & Internal Control Manager, reporting to the Jasmin Group Head of Accounting, to become a key member of our accounting and finance team. This individual will lead the IFRS conversion and implementation project, as well as manage the consolidation and reporting process, including internal controls.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop one Senior Technical Accountant.
  • Managing the conversion and implementation from Luxembourg GAAP to IFRS, including the development and delivery of IFRS training materials to the team.
  • Lead and coordinate the consolidation of the Jasmin Group.
  • Responsible for maintaining and communicating the accounting policy manual.
  • Providing quality support for internal and external financial reporting.
  • Perform analytical reviews on sub-group numbers (balance sheet, P&L, cash flows, shareholders’ equity, disclosure schedules).
  • Researching and resolving accounting issues and drafting of company position papers.
  • Manage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures and issues.
  • Preparation of quarterly key accounting & financial reporting / audit issues memo for presentation to the accounting leadership team.
  • Business partner to various business leaders and other functional department heads on implications and structuring agreements/transactions to maximize achievement of financial reporting objectives.
  • Development of internal controls framework in collaboration with external consultants and other accounting teams’ members for the accounting and finance department with an aim to reduce operational risks and automate processes.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate overall internal control for the accounting/finance organization.
  • Development of internal IFRS champions (e.g. revenue recognition and Lease accounting champions).
  • Annual (or as required) impairment testing.
  • Collaboration with local accounting teams (Luxembourg, Hungary, etc.)
  • Assist the FP&A department with budgeting and forecasting for the support functions.
  • Participate in other projects as required.


Requirements and Essential Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related – Master’s degree a plus
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) in current standing
  • 8+ years of experience in public accounting (preference to Big 4) – consideration for years in a technical or financial reporting position of a public company
  • IFRS and consolidation technical expertise a must
  • Accounting expertise for complex transactions, coaching and developing of the team’s technical skills
  • International experience a plus
  • Industry experience (Live-streaming, Telecom, Payment Service) preferred
  • Financial reporting and preparation of financial statements experience
  • Internal control experience (SOX or equivalent)
  • Governance structure, tax environments and rules exposure
  • SEC rules knowledge and experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
  • Fluent in English, any other languages are an asset

  • Experience with Sigma consolidation software and Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP are a plus
